Webinar on Customs, Trade Facilitation and Rules of Origin in the EU-Singapore FTA

The entry into force of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) on 21 November 2019 offers significant business opportunities for both EU and Singapore companies and traders. In order to tap into the benefits of the EUSFTA, it is key for business operators to have a proper understanding of the provisions of this comprehensive trade agreement. While ensuring effective customs controls, the EUSFTA aims at promoting trade facilitation and at providing preferential market access for goods originating in the EU and Singapore to each other’s markets.
This webinar will explore how the EUSFTA provisions on customs, trade facilitation and rules of origin help to ensure that goods produced in the EU and Singapore enjoy facilitated market access. The webinar will also touch upon how the various trade facilitation initiatives, implemented by the EU and Singapore authorities at bilateral and multilateral level, aim at strengthening regional and international supply chains.
The webinar will be held on Wednesday, 19 May 2021 at 4-6pm SGT (10am – 12pm CET)
Organised by the European Commission
